About the event
Canine parvovirus remains a constant threat to the health and welfare of the animals in our shelters and communities, despite the availability of effective vaccines and a greater number of VA shelters choosing to vaccinate on intake. SFC Virginia has taken in and treated over 300 dogs and puppies for canine parvovirus over the last 5 years - over 50 so far this year alone - and we have learned a few things along the way! In this webinar we will go over our current parvovirus protocols, as well as alternative options and protocols for shelters and rescue groups that may not have substantial access to expensive veterinary medicine. We will also discuss the new Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody (CPMA), and our experiences with it so far.
Presenter: Ryan Barker, Executive Director at SFC Virginia
